Bronx drops road game to Passaic Panthers, 90-71

The Broncos men's basketball team is still searching for its first victory, as Bronx fell to the Panthers of Passaic County Community College by a score of 90-71 on Thursday evening. With the loss, the Broncos fell to 0-9 on the 2022-2023 campaign.

Despite the loss for Bronx, Enmanuel Garcia paced the Broncos, scoring a team-high 22 points while snatching 10 rebounds. Taijay Good contributed 14 points and five rebounds, and Herbert Gary posted a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds.

In the victory for Passaic, Noel Rosa knocked down five trifectas, and nine of his 13 shots overall, to finish with a game-high 30 points. His seven assists and three steals were also game-highs, as well. Nehemiah Yisrael (10-13 FG) and Devinir Garvey (6-8 FT) both posted double-doubles, with Yisrael finishing with 22 points and 10 boards, and Garvey finalizing his evening with 14 points and a team-high 13 boards. Finally, it was Malamin Kaba scoring 10 points and registering six boards.

The Broncos will return to the court on Tuesday evening, as Bronx will travel to Lower Manhattan to battle the Panthers of Borough of Manhattan Community College in a CUNYAC clash. Start-time is scheduled for 7:30pm.
