Broncos dance into NJCAA Region XV Tournament semifinals with 1-0 win over Tigers

The Broncos men's soccer team pulled off a thrilling victory on Saturday afternoon, shutting out the Tigers of Queensborough Community College by a score of 1-0 in the quarterfinal round of the 2022 NJCAA Region XV Men's Soccer Tournament. Bronx, which entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed, improved to 6-6 with the victory. The No. 3 seeded Tigers slipped to 8-4-1 with the defeat.

Mohamed Fadiga scored for the Broncos on a penalty kick.

Bronx's victory served as sweet redemption, as the Broncos avenged the loss they suffered to Queensborough at Ohio Field back on October 11th, when the Tigers eliminated the Broncos from CUNYAC championship game contention with a 2-1 double overtime victory.

The Broncos now advance to the semifinals of the NJCAA Region XV Men's Soccer Tournament, as Bronx will travel to Selden, NY on Wednesday, October 26th to battle the No. 2 seeded Sharks of Suffolk County. Start time is 2:00 PM.
