POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Bronx Broncos picked up their third win on the season in a 3-1 road victory against the Dutchess CC Falcons on Saturday.
The midfield tandem of
Baba Anne and
Mohamed Fadiga were responsible for all of the Broncos points in the win.
Baba Anne netted two goals, including the opener 24 minutes into the first half. Anne also assisted on
Mohamed Fadiga's goal that occurred just five minutes later to give the Broncos a 2-0 lead.
Anne recorded his third point of the game by scoring his second goal and extending the Broncos lead to 3-0. The Falcons responded with a goal in the 60
th minute but it was not enough as the Broncos rolled to a 3-1 victory. The Bronx offense applied tons of pressure for the entire 90 minutes as they tallied fifteen total shots on goal. Bronx goalkeeper
Jaafar Haidara had 6 saves to keep Dutchess at bay and lock down the win for the Bronx.
Anne's big day helped him increase his team-leading season point total to twelve, including five goals. Fadiga now has the team lead in assists with three, tallying five total points on the season.
Bronx record improves to 3-3-0 (0-1-0). The Broncos are back at home on Wednesday taking on Westchester CC at 3:30pm on Ohio Field.
