Broncos overwhelmed by Tigers, falling to Queensborough 57-23 in CUNYAC action

The Broncos women's basketball team is still searching for its first victory of the 2019-2020 season, as Bronx suffered a CUNYAC defeat on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Tigers of Queensborough by a score of 57-23. The contest took place in Bayside, NY. With the loss, the Broncos dipped to a mark of 0-12 on the season (0-5 CUNYAC), while the Tigers improved to a record of 2-11 (2-3 in conference action).

Despite the loss for the Broncos, Bronx was paced by Ashley Soto, as she converted on all six of her free throw attempts, finishing with 11 points. She also grabbed three rebounds, as well. Jada Parker netted eight points and snatched four caroms, and Kayla Smith grabbed a team-high five caroms.

Bronx will return to action on Tuesday evening, as the Broncos will play their first home contest of calendar year 2020, hosting Suffolk County Community College. Start-time at the Alumni Gym is scheduled for 5:00pm.
