Broncos lose matches to Nassau and Suffolk on Saturday in Garden City, NY

The Broncos women's volleyball team suffered a pair of losses on Saturday afternoon in Garden City, NY, falling to the Lions of Nassau by scores of 10-25, 17-25, and 9-25, before losing to the Sharks of Suffolk by finals of 4-25, 9-25, and 10-25. With the defeat, Bronx slipped to a mark of 0-12 on the 2019 campaign.

Despite Bronx's loss to Nassau, Nayely Rodriguez led the way for the Broncos, registering a pair of kills, four assists, three digs, and a solo block. Nossamba Kone added two kills and three digs, and Floranni Tejada contributed a kill and three solo blocks.

In the Broncos defeat to Suffolk, Kone finished the contest with three kills and five digs, while Alondra Mesa contributed eight digs.

Bronx will return to action on Tuesday evening, as the Broncos will take on the Express of Monroe-Bronx at the Alumni Gymnasium. Start-time is scheduled for 7:00pm.
