The Broncos women's basketball suffered a defeat in its final game of calendar year 2019, falling to the Lions of Raritan Valley Community College by a score of 76-26. The game took place at the Alumni Gym in the Bronx. With the loss, the Broncos slipped to 0-11 on the season, while the Lions improved to a mark of 8-5.

Despite the loss for Bronx, Ashley Soto led the Broncos by scoring 16 points. The standout also snatched five rebounds as well. Natalie Encarnacion netted seven points while snatching nine boards, and Jada Parker collected five rebounds as well.

In the victory for Raritan Valley, Eumani Hollins posted a double-double, as she scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Ali McGrath connected on seven of her 12 attempts from the floor to finish with 16 points while also tallying five steals. Juliet Schott registered a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds (including seven on the offensive side), and Dyliany De Leon added 13 points. Finally, it was Morenike Akinrefon narrowly missing a double-double, as she finalized her afternoon with 12 points and nine boards.

Despite falling behind by a score of 14-0, the Broncos hung around, pulling to within seven (16-9) as the first quarter came to a close. The Lions dominated after that, though, outscoring Bronx 60-17 and holding the Broncos to just five more converted field goals the rest of the way to account for the convincing 50-point triumph.

The Broncos will return to action on Saturday, January 4, as they will travel to Bayside, NY to take on Queensborough in a CUNYAC contest. Start-time is scheduled for 1:00pm.
