Broncos drop home contest to Fashion Institute of Technology in three sets



The Broncos' women's volleyball team suffered a setback last night, falling to the Tigers of Fashion Institute of Technology by scores of 14-25, 10-25, and 17-25. The match took place at the Alumni Gym in the Bronx. With the loss, the Broncos fell to 2-6 on the 2018 campaign, while the Tigers improved their record to 7-4.

Despite the loss for Bronx, Angelica Aquino led the charge for her team, recording three kills and three service aces. Setter Heder Rodriguez also added seven assists in the loss.

Fashion Institute of Technology was led by Stephanie Berdon and Megan Kelly – as they tied for the match-high in kills with eight apiece. Berdon also contributed 15 assists and three service aces, as well.

The Broncos will return to action on Sunday afternoon, as they'll travel to Suffern, NY to take on Rockland at 12:00pm before taking on Westchester at 1:15pm.
