The contest took place at Ohio Field. With the victory, the Broncos improved their record to 3-4 on the 2018 season (1-0 CUNYAC), while the Tigers dipped to 6-3 on the year (0-1 CUNYAC).

With one inning in the books, the game was tied at two apiece.

Queensborough would later plate a run in the top of the second inning – and two more in the top of the third to catapult ahead by a score of 5-2. Bronx Community College would not quit, though. The Broncos trimmed the Tigers' advantage to two runs when Michael Mateo led off the bottom of the third by hitting a mammoth homerun to right field. Ariel Irving Lora and Justin Nunez each were credited with RBI singles in the frame.

Aaron Bonilla Suarez earned the victory in relief for Bronx Community College, as he hurled two and two-thirds scoreless on the afternoon, allowing just three hits (including two infield singles) and walking a batter while striking out five.

The Broncos will return to action on Thursday afternoon, as Bronx Community College will take to the road to battle Nassau Community College. Start-time for that game is scheduled for 4:00pm.
