The Broncos' men's basketball team picked up its second victory in its past three games on Thursday evening, defeating the Avengers of ASA-Manhattan by a score of 89-58 at Achievement First Brooklyn High School. With the victory, Bronx improved to a mark of 3-6 on the 2018-2019 season.
Bronx was once again paced by
Tilquan Rucker, as the standout led all scorers by netting 27 points while connecting on 10 of his 22 shots from the floor. He also drained six of his seven attempts from the charity stripe. The 5'8 guard also added a game-high 10 steals while recording three assists and collecting a pair of rebounds
Elijah Lopez put forth another quality effort for the Broncos in his team's victory, as he scored 15 points while snatching five rebounds, and
Hector Montano and
Malik Hamilton scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The Broncos will resume their CUNYAC portion of their schedule on Tuesday evening, as Bronx will host the Panthers of the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Start-time at the Alumni Gymnasium is scheduled for 7:00pm.
