The Broncos' women's basketball team dropped a CUNYAC game on Tuesday evening, falling to the Panthers of BMCC by a score of 54-34 at the Alumni Gym. With the defeat, the Broncos dipped to 2-6 on the 2018-2019 season (1-2 in conference play), while the Panthers improved to 3-6 on the season (2-2 CUNYAC).
Despite the loss for Bronx,
Asia Nelson posted another double-double, netting 15 points while snatching a game-high 16 rebounds. She also recorded a game-high four blocks, and a team-high five steals.
Shanellys Valdez added nine points, and
Kayla Martinez contributed seven points and three rebounds.
In the victory for BMCC, the Panthers were paced by Autumn Adams-Edwards, as she tallied a game-high 16 points while snatching five rebounds. Awa Fall added 13 points, a team-high nine rebounds, four steals and a game-high three assists, and Samsara Paul added nine points.
Bronx will return to action on Thursday evening, as the Broncos will host the Tigers of Queensborough in another CUNYAC contest at the Alumni Gymnasium. The first 50 fans in attendance will receive a Broncos foam finger. Start-time is scheduled for 5:00pm.
