Broncos come up just short in 80-74 defeat to Nassau; Malik Hamilton scores 23 points despite loss

The Broncos' men's basketball team lost its second consecutive game on Tuesday evening, falling to the Lions of Nassau by a score of 80-74. With the defeat, Bronx slipped to a mark of 1-3 on the 2018-2019 campaign, while the Lions improved their record to 5-2 on the year.

Despite the loss for the Broncos, Bronx was paced by Malik Hamilton's strong effort, as he drilled seven of his 15 attempts from the floor, and seven of his nine shots from the charity stripe, to finish with 23 points. He also snatched seven rebounds and added three steals. Tilquan Rucker finalized his evening with 20 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals, and Elijah Lopez chipped in with 11 points.

Bronx will now break for Thanksgiving and return to action on Tuesday evening, November 27, as the Broncos will play host to Suffolk County Community College. Start-time at the Alumni Gymnasium is scheduled for 8:00pm.
