Kayla Martinez scores 14 points in Bronx' 77-30 loss to Hostos on Tuesday evening

The Broncos' women's basketball team dropped a CUNYAC contest on Tuesday evening, falling to the Caimans of Hostos Community College by a score of 77-30. With the defeat, Bronx dipped to 1-2 on the 2018-2019 campaign (1-1 CUNYAC).

Despite the loss for Bronx, Kayla Martinez led the way for the Broncos, as she connected on four three-pointers and finalized her evening with 14 points. Asia Nelson added 10 points.

Despite the loss for Hostos, the Caimans were paced by Desiree Tolbert, as she scored 14 points while grabbing seven rebounds. Skydajah Patterson and Ellease Billings-Har netted 13 points apiece in Hostos' victory.

The Broncos will return to action on Saturday afternoon, as Bronx will travel to Massachusetts to take on Springfield Tech Community College. Start-time for that contest is scheduled for 1:00pm.
