The Broncos' men's soccer team suffered a Columbus Day loss today, falling to the Sharks of Suffolk by a score of 6-0 in Brentwood, NY.
Suffolk held a 1-0 advantage at the half, getting its lone goal in the opening session when Christian Velasquez scored in the 13
th minute (from Ryan Plate).
The Sharks broke out for five goals in the second stanza, with Marcos Melga scoring in the 46
th minute (from Veslasquez and Giovanni Fiore), Christian Capilets scoring back-to-back goals in the 54
th and 55
th minutes, Gerald Castaneda scoring in the 78
th minute (from Lawrence Ekert), and Hector Caceres netting a goal in the 89
th minute (from Marcos Buruca).
Bronx will return to action tomorrow afternoon, as the Broncos will take on Queensborough in a CUNYAC match. The contest will take place at Ohio Field, with start-time scheduled for 3:30pm.
