Jose Flores

Jose Flores joined the Broncos women’s basketball program as an assistant coach ahead of the 2021-2022 campaign following four seasons as an assistant at Hostos Community College.
 
While at Hostos, Flores was a key part of the development of NJCAA All-Americans Kyla Wilson, Skydajah Patterson and Moreina Moore as well as 2018-2019 CUNYAC Rookie of the Year Apilyn Bonny and Region XV Second Team All-Star Sharay Hannah. He also helped the Caimans capture three CUNYAC crowns, three Region XV titles, and back-to-back National Championships in 2018 and 2019.

Coach Flores is a well-known and respected basketball trainer and AAU Coach in the New York City area. He is also the founder of “Put in the Work” basketball training, where he loves being in the gym and providing opportunities for young student-athletes to develop and grow in all facets of the game. Additionally, Flores is the Director of Training Development in the Lady Prestige Basketball Program. Lady Prestige is an all-girls basketball development and etiquette training program, which is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization operating in New York City, and features young ladies from the ages of 10-17.

A New York City native, Flores attended Buffalo State College, where he worked with the women’s basketball program as a scout and player development coach. Buffalo State is where he developed his passion for training athletes and helping them advance to the next level. He graduated from Buffalo State College in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Wellness, along with a minor in Coaching. Flores is also a certified NASM youth exercise specialist.
