Robin Patton

On Monday morning, May 11, the Broncos Men's Soccer program announced the hiring of Robin Patton as an Assistant Coach.

Patton comes to Bronx boasting a solid background in the sport. The 6'3 German-American was born in Berlin, Germany, and played in the Oberliga (fourth tier) in the German football league system, before becoming a standout player for Mercer County Community College in New Jersey for two seasons (2009-2010). There, he earned Second Team All-Region 19 honors, leading the Vikings to the Region XIX title during the 2010 campaign. He then went on to play his senior season at Cal State Easy Bay, an NCAA Division II institution, in 2011.

On the coaching front, Patton served as an assistant coach for Cal State East Bay for one season before moving on to FitKids America in San Diego, California, where he spent six years. There, he led age-appropriate sports lessons and fun interactive group games for children in school-based and after school settings. He taught children the importance of maintaining order, control, and discipline on the field.  He also oversaw summer camps for children aged 4-12 teaching the basics in various sports.

In the scouting department, Patton currently works for RSA, evaluating and qualifying high school students on their athletic and academic ability, as well as their character through the interviewing process. He is responsible for enrolling student-athletes into the programs, and promoting and advising clients to further their athletic participation at the college level.

As a member of Coach Cinelli's staff, Patton will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the program, including practice and game preparation and planning, recruiting, scouting, and student-athlete support.

He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business from California State University in 2013.
