Earlier this week, the CUNY Community College women's basketball All-Conference team was announced, and the Broncos dominated the awards, with five members of the program receiving accolades. The All-Conference team was comprised of Kolonnie Green, Destiny Davis, and Akira Robertson, with Angelina Gonzalez earning a Sportsmanship team honor. Kolonnie Green was also named the CUNY Player of the Year, and second year Head Coach Craig Williams was tabbed the Coach of the Year. Following the announcement of the distinctions, Director of Athletics Dionne Dodson saluted the honorees.

"I would like to congratulate our student-athletes and Coach Williams on their well-deserved CUNY Community College recognitions," Dodson said. "This program has continued to improve and grow, putting together an incredible second half of the season that has included a CUNY Community College title, and national recognition in the NJCAA weekly polls. Kolonnie, Destiny, Akira, Angelina and the team have worked incredibly hard this season, and I am very proud of them."

Kolonnie has put forth an incredible season for the Broncos in her first year as a member of the program. The standout has averaged a double-double this year, scoring 11 points and snatching a team-leading 11.8 rebounds per evening. Her tenacity on the defensive side of the ball has been incredible, as her 99 steals and 82 blocked shots are both team-bests. Her 53 assists place her second on the squad, and she has recorded 11 double-doubles, and one triple-double on the year.

In last Friday's 79-57 victory over Kingsborough in the CUNY championship game, Green earned Most Valuable Player honors for by scoring a team-high 19 points (9-15 FG), leading all players with 20 rebounds (nine offensive), posting game-highs of eight steals and four blocked shots, and dishing three assists.

Destiny Davis earned All-Conference honors thanks to her tremendous all-around performance this season. Bronx's most prolific offensive player, Davis has averaged a team-best 14 points per game, connecting on 44.1 percent of her shot attempts, and a team-best 73.4 percent from the free throw line. Additionally, Davis' 106 assists are a team-high, and she places second on the Broncos in total rebounds (99) and steals (73).

Akira Robertson has played in 20 games for Bronx, solidifying herself as one of the team's sharpshooters, averaging 9.1 points per game, connecting on 14 triples in the process. Her versatility also saw her place fifth in total rebounds (66), fifth in steals (25), and sixth in assists (41). Her best game came against SUNY Orange back on January 8, when she scored a career-high 18 points, knocking down three triples on the evening.

Angelina Gonzalez is one the hardest-working Broncos to ever pass through the program. One of three Broncos to compete in all 22 of the team's games, she scored in double figures eight times, collecting five or more rebounds seven times, and swiping five or more steals six times. She has also had nine games with at least three assists, solidifying herself as one of the ultimate all-around players during coach Williams' tenure as Coach.

Coach Williams earned the CUNY Coach of the Year accolade following his tremendous tutelage of his student-athletes during this 2025-2026 campaign. Coach Williams put tremendous energy into building his program over the Spring and Summer, and it has resulted in the team reaching tremendous heights this year.

The Broncos, who have been either at or above .500 the entire season, found themselves at 7-4 through 11 games and the close of calendar year 2025. Since then, Williams has guided the Broncos to victories over Kingsborough (twice), Division II Westchester, and Monroe University-Bronx.

Additionally, he led the Broncos to their first CUNY Community College title since 2016, and paced the Broncos to the No. 2 seed in the upcoming NJCAA Region 15 Division III Tournament.
