Four players score in double figures for Broncos, but Bronx suffers loss to SUNY Ulster at Alumni Gymnasium

The Broncos' men's basketball team dropped a game on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Senators of SUNY Ulster at the Alumni Gymnasium by a score of 83-59. With the defeat, Bronx dipped to a mark of 0-20 on the 2025-2026 campaign.

Despite the loss for Bronx, veteran Alexander Hattel posted a double-double, netting 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds. He also registered three steals as well. Bryan Teixeira connected on six of his eight attempts from the floor, finishing with 12 points, four assists, three boards, and two steals, and Aden Lugo contributed 11 points. Finally, it was Said Martin posting a double-double, scoring 10 points, snatching 13 rebounds, and dishing five assists.

The Broncos trailed by a score of 32-24 at halftime, before SUNY Ulster's offense kicked into gear in the second session. The Senators registered 51 points in the final 20 minutes to Bronx's 35, as Ulster eventually won the game by 24 points.

Bronx earned a conversion rate of 40.6 percent for the afternoon (26-24), and the Broncos struggled from the free throw line, knocking down only five out of 14 attempts there (35.7 percent). The Broncos pulled down 37 rebounds, dished 16 assists, swiped 12 steals, swatted a pair of shots, and committed 20 turnovers.

The Broncos will return to action on Tuesday evening, as Bronx will battle NJCAA Region XV powerhouse Monroe-Bronx. The clash with the Express takes place at the Monroe Athletic Complex in New Rochelle, NY, with a scheduled start-time of 8:00pm.
