William Whitcomb singled, hit a sacrifice fly, and drove in a pair of runs, and Luis Villaman picked up two RBI on the afternoon, registering a single while scoring a run. Giancarlo Leon was the only player on either squad to record three hits on the day, as he singled three times, walked, scored a run, and drove in one, and Robert Genao reached base four times, singling twice, drawing two walks, denting home plate once, and picking up a RBI.

Kevin Baez (1-3) earned the start and took the loss for the visitors, tossing two-plus innings, allowing 11 runs (four earned) on five hits while walking two, hitting a batter, and striking out a pair.

Colby Sararas was Kingsborough's primary run-producer in the team's victory, as he homered, doubled, scored a pair of runs, and drove in four. Nicholas Fancellu tripled, hit a sacrifice fly, dented home plate twice, and picked up four RBI, and Ramsley Rodriguez tripled, was hit by a pitch, scored twice, and drove in a pair. Stephen Pearson (1-1) earned the victory in relief, twirling three frames and allowing one run on two hits while issuing two walks and whiffing five. Alejandro Caballero needed to face just one batter in earning his first save of the 2025 campaign, registering a strikeout.

In a game that saw the teams combine to score 27 runs, including 21 in the first three innings, the Broncos took a commanding 4-0 edge right out of the game in the top of the first. The defending CUNY champion Wave answered that with a five-spot in the bottom of the first to snatch a slim 5-4 advantage after the completion of an inning.

Bronx squared the contest at five-all in the top of the second with a run, but the Wave also plated one to retake the lead, 6-5. The pendulum then swung towards the Broncos, as they dented home plate three times in the top of the third to snatch an 8-6 edge, but Kingsborough took the lead for good in the bottom of the frame, scoring seven times to catapult ahead, 13-8.

Later in the CUNY clash, with Kingsborough holding a seemingly-comfortable seven-run advantage (15-9), the Broncos scored three runs and brought the tying run to the plate, but Bronx was unable to push across any additional runs, as the Wave held on for the thrilling 15-12 triumph.

The Broncos will return to action tomorrow afternoon, as Bronx welcomes the Panthers of BMCC to Ohio Field for another CUNY C.C. Conference game. Start-time for the contest is scheduled for 3:00pm.
