Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 The Broncos baseball team finished its regular season with a four game split, dropping two games at Suffolk County Community College in Selden, NY back on April 25th (17-3) and last Friday (13-7), before sweeping the Sharks by scores of 6-4 and 7-5 this past Wednesday at Ohio Field.

After losing to the Sharks via a 17-3 drubbing on April 25th, the Broncos dropped a 13-7 decision this past Friday, despite a stellar effort from Wilkin Ruan, as he notched four hits in four plate appearances, singling four times, scoring two runs, and driving in one. Luis Roman Sanchez notched the only extra base hit of the game for Bronx, a double.

Following the two losses to the Sharks in Selden, the Broncos redeemed themselves with a pair of wins against Suffolk yesterday, starting with a 6-4 triumph in the opener. Francisco Leonardo led the way offensively for the Broncos, registering two singles and driving in three runs. Angel Calderon homered and drove in two, and Albel Ruan singled twice, stole a base, and scored a run.

Starter Christopher Messon started and received a no-decision, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits while walking four, hitting a batter, and striking out eight. Jefferson Santiago picked up the victory in relief, twisting 2.2 frames and allowing just one earned run on two hits while walking a batter.

In the Broncos' game two win, Albel Ruan doubled, scored twice, drove in a pair, and walked. Luis Roman Sanchez went three-for-three, singling three times, scoring a run, driving in one, and walking once, and Yoskar Almonte doubled, singled twice, and scored a run. Finally, it was Wilkin Ruan hitting a triple, notching a single, scoring a run, and drawing a walk.

Jordy Garcia got the start for Bronx and struggled, hurling four frames and allowing five earned runs on nine hits while not issuing a walk and striking out four. Reliever Alex Messon received the victory, pitching beautifully by tossing three innings and allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one.

The Broncos will return to action on Monday afternoon, as they'll travel to Maimonides Park in Brooklyn, NY to face Kingsborough Community College in the CUNYAC title game. Start-time is scheduled for 11:00am.
