Broncos defeated by Hawks 55-28 at Alumni Gymnasium Saturday afternoon

The Broncos' women's basketball team continues to search for its first victory of the 2023-2024 campaign after losing to the Hawks of Rockland Community College by a score of 55-28 Saturday afternoon. The game took place at the Alumni Gymnasium in the Bronx. With the defeat, the Broncos are now 0-4 on the season, while Rockland improved to 1-2.

Despite the loss for Bronx, Susan Williamson scored 14 points to go along with four rebounds and a steal, and Katherine Reyes posted a double-double, netting 13 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. She also tallied four steals, as well.

The Broncos connected on 63.2 percent of their free throw attempts (12-19), grabbed 30 rebounds, and tallied six steals despite the defeat.

Bronx will look to bounce back on Tuesday evening, as the Broncos will take on Suffolk County Community College at the Alumni Gymnasium. Start-time is scheduled for 6:00pm.
