Men's soccer closes 2023 campaign strong, defeating SUNY Orange 3-2 in Middletown, NY

The Broncos' men's soccer team closed out its 2023 campaign on Tuesday afternoon in winning fashion, edging the Colts of Orange County Community College by a score of 3-2 in Middletown, NY. With the victory, Bronx finished its season winning three of its final four matches, including two on the road, to end the campaign with a mark of 4-7-1.

Bronx led 2-0 at the half, thanks to goals from Pape Sarr and Ashraf Abubakar in the 20th and 30th minutes, respectively.

The Colts cut the Broncos' advantage in half at 73:05 when Trevor Spignardo redirected Miguel Flores' pass into the net. Just under six minutes later, the Broncos got that goal back when Mohamed Ouedraogo found the back of the net to give Bronx a 3-1 advantage with 11 minutes to play.

Spignaro would score again at 82:03 (from Reginald Mingot) to bring Orange to within a goal at 3-2. The Broncos' defense would hold the Colts in check for the remainder of the clash, however, and Bronx would hold on for a 3-2 victory.
