The Broncos women's volleyball team (0-1 overall, 0-1 CUNYAC) dropped its season opener on Thursday evening, falling to CUNYAC foe Hostos by scores of 2-25, 9-25, and 7-25 in conference action. The Caimans, who dropped their opener in four sets to The King's College (NY) this past Tuesday evening, leveled their 2022 record at 1-1.
Despite the loss for Bronx, Arian Revells registered a pair of kills, while Alyssa Reyna contributed a kill and a service ace. Finally, it was Ross Castillo adding a pair of digs and an assist.
In the victory for Hostos, Nyla Rivera led all players with 13 service aces, while Ashly Cabral contributed 10. Additionally, Savannah Williams posted a match-high four kills.
The Broncos will return to the court on Tuesday evening, as they will welcome Monroe College (Bronx) to the Alumni Gym. Start-time is scheduled for 7:00pm.
