Bronx fall to Hostos in CUNYAC Championship Tournament Final

The Bronx Community College Broncos women's basketball team (1-10) played the Hostos Community College Caimans team (14-4) in the final game of the 2022 CUNY Athletic Conference Championship Tournament.  The game was played at the Borough of Manhattan Community College Gymnasium.  The final score was 86-40 in favor of the Caimans.  

For the Hostos team, this was the 5th consecutive CUNYAC Championship.

The defending conference champions only trailed for the first thirty seconds of the contest. The Caimans scored 13 straight points to take control of the quarter and ultimately the game.

Bronx, appearing in the CUNYAC finals for the first time since 2016, just couldn't keep pace with the run-and-gun offense of Hostos.

For the Broncos, CUNYAC All-Star Shawnasia Ofaire scored 16 points, adding nine boards, three assists and three steals to close out the night.  CUNYAC All-Star Keyanna Drew scored 10 points and had 7 boards.   CUNYAC All-Star Nyla Harris scored 8 points and seven rebounds.  Frances Harris had 10 rebounds and scored 2 points.  Catherline McNeal and Alyssa Burgos scored two points each in the game.
