Shepard, Broncos overpower BMCC, 73-59

Freshman forward Julien Shepard led all players with 17 rebounds and five assists, as Bronx improved to 2-1 in CUNYAC play with a 73-59 win over visiting Borough of Manhattan Community College Tuesday night. 

Guard Michael Morgan led the Broncos with 15 points to go along with 5 rebounds, and three assists. Fellow freshman Ramon Santos IV came off the bench for 11 points on 5-6 shooting, five rebounds, and three assists in 32 minutes, and forward Enmanuel Garcia tallied 13 points (2-3 3PT), five rebounds, and three assists in 17 minutes of reserve action. 
 
A Garcia three-pointer put Bronx ahead 33-20 at the 3:00 mark of the first, and the Broncos took a 38-29 lead into halftime. The Panthers scored the first seven points out of halftime, but Morgan and Shepard responded with baskets, and BMCC never cut the margin to less than four. 

Led by Shepard's 17 Bronx controlled the glass 54-39. 

The Broncos (3-6 overall) return to play Thursday at home vs. Queensborough CC.
