Suffolk posts dominating 74-18 victory over Broncos; Jada Parker contributes 10 points despite defeat

The Broncos women's basketball team dropped its seventh consecutive contest to start the 2019-2020 campaign, falling to the Sharks of Suffolk by a score of 74-18 Tuesday evening in Selden, NY. While the Bronx fell to 0-7, Suffolk improved to 3-1 on the year.

Despite the loss for the Broncos, Jada Parker registered her fourth double digit scoring game of the year, netting a team-high 10 points. In addition, Natalie Encarnacion contributed six points while grabbing a team-high nine rebounds.

In the victory for the Sharks, two players posted double-doubles, including Lindsey Devine, as he finalized his evening with game-highs of 23 points and 16 rebounds. She also tied for the game-high of four assists. Kasey Koerner recorded 12 points while collecting 11 boards (seven on the offensive side), and Katie Brown netted 13 (while also tying for the game-high of four dimes). Finally, it was Hailey Hallum finishing with nine points, six rebounds, and three assists.

The Broncos will now have six days off before returning to action on December 3, as Bronx will host Dutchess. Start-time at the Alumni Gym is scheduled for 5:00pm.
