Broncos overwhelmed by undefeated Nassau, as Lions register convincing victory over Bronx at Alumni Gym

The Broncos women's basketball team dropped a home contest on Tuesday evening, falling to the Lions of Nassau Community College 109-15 at the Alumni Gym. With the defeat, Bronx slipped to 0-5 on the 2019-2020 campaign, while the Lions stayed undefeated, improving to 5-0.

Despite the loss for Bronx, Jada Parker led the Broncos with a team-high nine points. Sophia Ridley led all players with a game-high 16 rebounds, including eight on the offensive side, and Natalie Encarnacion and Kayla Smith snatched eight rebounds apiece.

Bronx will return to action on Thursday evening, as the Broncos will travel to Brooklyn, NY to take on CUNYAC foe Kingsborough. Start-time for that contest is scheduled for 6:00pm.
