Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Asia Nelson and Aissata Kante post double-doubles, but Broncos fall to the Wave 70-45 in conference play

The Broncos' women's basketball team suffered a defeat on Thursday evening in Brooklyn, NY, falling to the Wave of Kingsborough by a score of 70-45 in a CUNYAC contest. With the defeat, Bronx dipped to a record of 2-10 overall (1-5 CUNYAC), while the Tigers evened their record at 2-12 while improving to a mark of 1-4 in conference competition.

Despite the loss for Bronx, Asia Nelson posted a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.  Aissata Kante also contributed with 14 points and 14 boards. Stephanie Aboagye and Shanellys Valdez also netted nine and eight points, respectively.

The Broncos will return to action on Tuesday evening, as Bronx will take to the road to face Monroe College-Bronx. Start-time for the game is scheduled for 6:00pm.
