Bronx Community College (BCC) will host the inaugural Bronx Men's Basketball Tip-Off Classic this coming weekend at historic Alumni Gymnasium. 

The Classic will feature four top teams from the Tri-state area beginning on Saturday (11/05/16) afternoon with Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) taking on Union County College (UCC) at 3 pm.  The host Broncos will take the court against NJCAA Division II opponent County College of Morris (CCM) at 5 pm. 

"We are excited about showcasing the best junior college basketball in the area early in the season, said Coach Sean Kelly, who is entering his fifth season at the helm of the Broncos. "The teams in the Classic are all traditionally very strong." 

The tournament will follow a classic format with the match-ups pre-determined.  Sunday's (11/06/16) action will feature BMCC taking on County College of Morris at 3 pm. The host Broncos will take the hardwood against Union CC at 5 pm. 

The tournament committee will select an MVP as well as an All-Tournament team at the conclusion of play. 

"We are excited to get out and play some top teams early and showcase our program and campus," said Kelly. "We hope the Bronx Classic becomes part of the fabric of our program and continues for many years down the line."
