The Bronx CC Broncos Women's and Men's Basketball teams travelled to Poughkeepisie, NY for away games against Dutchess CC Falcons.

In the Women's game, the Broncos had a good start and a better 2nd quarter to lead at half time 27-14.  In the last two quarters, Bronx increased the lead to win the game by the score of 47-36.

This game increased the winning streak to 3 games.  The Lady Broncos won the 3 games played during the week ending on January 17th.   The season record is Win - 12 Loss - 7.

Barbara Castro and Angel Mbamalu lead in scoring with 14 and 10 points respectively.  Shakia Artist was excellent in all ball control skills of the game with 17 rebounds and 11 blocked shots. 
























In the Men's game, the Broncos played with toughness and made a strong effort the entire game.  They won the 7th consecutive game.  Bronx CC have not lost a game in 2016.

The Falcons lead at half time 38-33.  In the 2nd half, the Broncos played hard, made free throws and maintained a lead till the end to win 83-81.

Sophomore Jatton Pierce-Bias scored 25 points and collected 10 rebounds.  Sophomore Yohan Almonte scored 22 points and had 3 assists.

The season record for the Broncos is 15-3.

The Bronx CC basketball teams play intelligent, team oriented basketball.  Team effort and each palyer being responsible for their job on the court is the reason the winning streaks continue.
