Broncos capped off regular season play with a 4-0 series win over CUNYAC opponent BMCC. In the four game span, they piled on 76 runs to end the season with a 10-2 conference record (12-10 overall).

In game 1, star pitcher Lutty Santiago threw a complete game allowing just two earned runs while striking out 5 over his 7 innings of work. Catcher Jose Marte went 2 for 3 with two triples and 4 RBI and Francisco Ogando piled on with his 6th homerun of the year as the Broncos ran away with a 12-4 victory.

The following game was a hard fought battle with the home team narrowly escaping in a 12-11 win. BCC was firing on all cylinders, with 9 different batters driving in runs. Andres Otero Jr. came up big with 3 hits including a double. Despite all of the contributions on offense, the game was not decided until late. In the final inning, everyday shortstop Francisco Ogando showed up big in his first pitching appearance of the year.  With runners on 2nd and 3rd he needed just 3 pitches to get the runner to fly out to center to slam the door on the Panthers.

The Bronx continued their hot streak as they went on the road. Freshman pitcher Andy Caba pitched a 5 inning shutout, recording 6 strikeouts. On offense, Edwin Hidalgo and Ogando stole the show with back-to-back homeruns. Otero had another phenomenal game, going 4-4 with a triple and 2 RBI.

They finished off the series with a 37-14 blowout. In a game where everyone was batting well, Christian Disla, Justin Soto, Gregory Perdomo, Elvis Hernandez, and Francisco Ogando outshined the rest as they each drove in at least 5 runs.

With the sweep, the Broncos finished with the best record in the conference and 3rd in regional standings. They will take on the Kingsborough Wave in the CUNYAC Championship at MCU Park. The game is scheduled for tomorrow at 7 pm. Come out to the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones to see your Bronx Broncos battle for the CUNYAC Championship.
