The Bronx Community College's Baseball teams efforts weren't good enough to defeat Nassau County Community College's Baseball team, as the Broncos fall to Lions 8-7 at home.
Bronx fell behind 6-1 early, but were able to drive in a couple of runs to make the score 6-3 at the end of 4 innings. The Broncos were down 8-6 going into the bottom of the 9th inning, with 2 outs
Jonathan Suarez came in as a pinch hitter and went on to be walked.
Edwin Hidalgo came up to bat and hit a single to centerfield, but an error made by the center fielder would allow Suarez to score a run and Hidalgo the chance to advance from 1st to 3rd base. The Broncos were unable to capitalize with a runner in scoring position failing to bring in the tying run.
