The Bronx Community College's Baseball teams efforts weren't good enough to defeat Nassau County Community College's Baseball team, as the Broncos fall to Lions 8-7 at home.

Bronx fell behind 6-1 early, but were able to drive in a couple of runs to make the score 6-3 at the end of 4 innings. The Broncos were down 8-6 going into the bottom of the 9th inning, with 2 outs Jonathan Suarez came in as a pinch hitter and went on to be walked. Edwin Hidalgo came up to bat and hit a single to centerfield, but an error made by the center fielder would allow Suarez to score a run and Hidalgo the chance to advance from 1st to 3rd base. The Broncos were unable to capitalize with a runner in scoring position failing to bring in the tying run.

BCC was led by freshman right fielder Justin Soto in 5 at-bats he went 4 for 5 recording 2 singles and 2 doubles, along with 2 RBI's. Claudio Deaza and Franyi Santana both contributed 2 hits apiece for the game. First year pitcher Ruben Gomez recorded 7 strikeouts in the 8 innings he pitched.

The Broncos return to action this Friday, as they take on the Lions of Nassau County Community College. First pitch is set for 4pm at Ohio Field.
