Box Score 2 April 18, 2014 – Bronx, NY
The Bronx Broncos Baseball team was victorious in their first two games of a 4 game set vs BMCC the past two days, defeating the Panthers 11-0 and 10-3.
On Thursday April 17th,
Ruben Gomez took the hill and held the Panthers scoreless through 5 innings. Led by freshman, Franyi Santanna, who went 4 for 4 with 4 RBI's on the day, the Broncos were able to jump out to a commanding lead and ending the game early after only 5 frames.
Jose Marte went 3 for 4 and added 3 RBI's to the Bronco scoring attack.
On Friday, April 18
th, The BCC fell behind early on two unearned runs by the end of the 2
nd inning. The Bronx came back though, scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 5
th to take the lead. Sophomore,
Adolfy Javier was able to shake the runs off en route to giving up just one earned run over 9 innings for the complete game victory. Santana was the offensive star once again going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's. Sophomore,
Victor Leroux had two doubles and an RBI as well.
The Broncos complete the series with BMCC on Saturday, April 19
th at 12 noon for a double header, where BMCC will be the home team on Ohio Field.
