Bronx Takes Two From Panthers to Open Series

The Bronx Broncos Baseball team was victorious in their first two games of a 4 game set vs BMCC the past two days, defeating the Panthers 11-0 and 10-3. 

On Thursday April 17th, Ruben Gomez took the hill and held the Panthers scoreless through 5 innings.  Led by freshman, Franyi Santanna, who went 4 for 4 with 4 RBI's on the day, the Broncos were able to jump out to a commanding lead and ending the game early after only 5 frames.  Jose Marte went 3 for 4 and added 3 RBI's to the Bronco scoring attack.

On Friday, April 18th, The BCC fell behind early on two unearned runs by the end of the 2nd inning.  The Bronx came back though, scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 5th to take the lead.  Sophomore, Adolfy Javier was able to shake the runs off en route to giving up just one earned run over 9 innings for the complete game victory.  Santana was the offensive star once again going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's.  Sophomore, Victor Leroux had two doubles and an RBI as well. 

The Broncos complete the series with BMCC on Saturday, April 19th at 12 noon for a double header, where BMCC will be the home team on Ohio Field.
