Bronx Community College alumnus Adolfo De Jesus has eclipsed over 500 victories in 35 seasons as the Head Coach of the Broncos. Most recently, he led the Broncos to a CUNYAC title in 2019 after being selected the conference's Coach of the Year. Bronx also solidified a third place finish at the NJCAA Region XV Championship that year, as well.

In a two-year span (2018 and 2019), DeJesus saw a total of 12 players earn All-Region XV postseason accolades, and seven player earn CUNYAC postseason distinctions.

Overall, DeJesus has led Bronx Community College to 11 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) championships during his tremendous tenure at the institution. Additionally, back in 1995, he led the Broncos to the NJCAA Region XV title, and a berth in the NJCAA World Series.

A Dominican Republic native, Adolfo De Jesus attended New York’s George Washington High School for four years, where he was a standout student-athlete in baseball, football and golf.

After graduating from G.W. High School, De Jesus enrolled at Bronx Community College, where he played baseball for two years. He then transferred to Lehman College, becoming a two-year baseball letter-winner on the Lightning before graduating from Lehman in 1985 with a Bachelor’s Degree in education.

Individually, DeJesus has produced one NJCAA First Team All-American, seven NJCAA Second Team All-Americans, dozens of NJCAA Region XV All-Region Team members, and several major league prospects and draftees.

Though he has many individual coaching accolades, what he is most proud of is the longevity of his coaching career at Bronx CC and impacting lives of young men. Since 2014, over 42 percent of baseball players at Bronx Community College have graduated, over 2.5 times higher than the college's average.

To help serve the community, DeJesus' baseball team annually sponsors its own hydration station at "Run the Bronx," a 5K/10K of over a thousand runners to benefit Bronx Community College's Scholarship Fund.

Professionally, De Jesus is the senior supervisor of facilities for the Department of Health, Physical Education and Wellness at Bronx Community College. Additionally, he serves the college as an Adjunct Lecturer. Off campus, he is a longtime employee of Roberto Clemente State Park (Bronx, NY), serving as a  mentor and role model to hundreds of young men in his program.

Orosmar Cuevas, affectionately known as "OC," brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role as Associate Head Coach of the Broncos at Bronx Community College. A proud alumnus of Bronx Community College, OC is thrilled to return to his alma mater in this new capacity after a successful stint at SUNY Maritime, where he made significant contributions as a coach.

During his time at SUNY Maritime, OC specialized in working with infielders and hitters, while also assuming the crucial role of coaching third base and overseeing team defense. Under his guidance, the Privateers experienced unprecedented success, culminating in one of their most prolific hitting seasons in 2023, a year that saw SUNY Maritime reach the Skyline title game.

The Privateers led the Skyline Conference in multiple offensive categories in 2023, including OPS (.971), homeruns (53), and RBI's (339), showcasing OC's expertise in developing talent and maximizing performance on the field. Two Privateers, Matt Milone and Freddy Forgione, were named First Team All-Region by the ABCA. Forgione, a third baseman, slashed .365/.487/.703 with an OPS of 1.190, all while playing defense at a high level. During conference play, Forgione was nearly flawless, committing just one error.

Cuevas also helped SUNY Maritime post its best fielding percentage in program history during the 2023 campaign, as the Privateers converted on .979 percent of their chances during conference play.

OC's coaching philosophy extends beyond the game itself. As a dedicated middle school teacher in the Bronx, he is deeply committed to nurturing character and fostering growth through sports. Serving as a mentor and role model in his community, OC prioritizes the holistic development of his players, instilling values that transcend the field of play.

A Bronx native, OC's journey in baseball began at Careers in Sports High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. Continuing his academic and athletic pursuits at Bronx Community College and later Queens College, OC distinguished himself as a leader on and off the field. As team captain at BCC and a recipient of numerous accolades, including CUNYAC All-Star, Region XV All-Region second team and Academic All-Region honors, OC exemplified excellence in both academics and athletics.

In 2024, OC furthered his education by earning a Master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine, enhancing his knowledge and expertise in the field of sports coaching.

Residing in his beloved Bronx, OC remains deeply rooted in the community that shaped him, continuing to make a positive impact through his work both on the baseball diamond and in the classroom. With his unwavering dedication and proven track record of success, OC is poised to lead the Broncos to new heights in the seasons to come.
