BRONX, NY - The Bronx Community College Broncos traveled to Selden, NY Friday morning against the Monroe College (Bronx) Express for a 19-3 setback in the Region XV playoffs.
The Broncos began the game with a leadoff single by
Steven Correa (1-of-3, R) followed by a wild pitch that fielded two runners. One hitter later,
Yolbi De La Cruz (0-of-1, 2 BB)Â walked, loading all bases putting the Broncos in scoring position. A Monroe double play took out two baserunners and ran Correa across home plate to break the scoring ice for the game. The Express scored five consecutive runs in the first inning off pitcher

Luis Roman Sanchez (1-of-2, R, RBI)Â homerun from reliever Victor Vilomar (W, 2-0, 4.1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 5 BB, 9 SO, WP) to set the score at 5-2. Monroe would go on to balloon their lead to 16 and did not look back.
