The Bronx Community College Student Athletes of the Week that ended on September 25, 2016 are Sophomore Outside Hitter Hualeska Garcia and Freshman DS / Libero Estefania Cruz. Both players made significant contributions to the Lady Broncos record for the week of Win – 1 and  Loss - 2.
Hualeska Garcia played 10 sets, had 14 kills in 43 attacks with 8 errors. She served 6 aces. On defense, Garcia made 48 digs. Her all-around game had an impact in the performance of the team.
Estefania Cruz keeps improving with every game she plays. Her defensive contributions when being part of the action shows intelligence and court awareness. Cruz had 26 digs in the 3 games she played. Â
On offense, Estefania Cruz used her service skills to provide the Lady Broncos with scoring points. Against Sullivan County Community College, Cruz had 10 service aces.
The season record for the Bronx Community College Women’s Volleyball team is Win – 1 Loss – 4.
In the CUNY Athletic Conference, the season record for the Lady Broncos is Win – 0 Loss – 2.
